The South Florida Depression Glass Club’s purpose is to promote an awareness and appreciation of American depression era glassware and to promote glass collecting as a hobby. The club was founded in the 1970’s and meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the 600 NE 21st Court in Wilton Manors (The Women's Club Building). Meetings include a business section, “show and tell,” glass identification, a program presented by a member or guest speaker, and refreshments. The meetings are a fun gathering of both novice and advanced collectors and anyone interested in American glassware, dinnerware, and pottery.
Since 1974 the club has sponsored an Annual Show and Sale where dealers and collectors gather to purchase wonderful items for their collections, homes, friends, and family and to learn about the companies that created these treasures.
